Instrike Golf

The Philosophy

The Instrike technique been in development for 12 months and we are now pleased to show everyone how this simple technique can transform any and we mean any short game shots – Putting, Chipping, Pitching & Bunkers.

We looked at rolls of video and data as to why golfers struggle with the short game and even what causes the yips and came up with this new technique that transforms all short game woes.

We broke everything down into these vital areas

  • Address
  • Backswing
  • Tempo
  • Angle of attack

And by looking at these areas and what problems they cause golfers lead us to coming up with The Instrike technique.

Address – weight distribution was a common issue here as golfers tended to favour the back foot and then we have the position of the feet. Most books, videos, coaches would say to have the forward foot slightly open to allow the hips to move through impact. We found that this position actually aided in making the backswing too steep and possibly the yips!

Backswing – main issues here were that so many golfers are way too steep as well as too short and quite often snatchy which caused yipping and far too inconsistent striking.

Tempo – something that most golfers don’t associate with short game but we feel that the closer you are to the hole then the better your tempo needs to be. Poor tempo is a sign of tension and this only leads to poor shots.

Angle of attack – the other three points all contribute to golfers being to steep with their angle of attack and that’s when you chunk your chips and pitches and duff your bunker shots.
